The movement and cognition conference 2019 will devote a specific section to the Science of Dance, which will be dedicated to themes including: dance and cognition; optimization of motor performance in dance; brain imaging and dance; physiology and kinesiology of dance; dance and nutrition; dance, motor skills learning and behavior; dance education; imagery for dance practice; neuroscience of dance.
The Science of Dance section will be composed of three types of presentations:
- Research lectures or posters.
- Demonstrative lectures – whereby choreographers and dancers present how they use
body knowledge and cognitive understanding as tools for choreography and for refining dance techniques.
- Somatic workshops – whereby a topic is presented through somatic experience.
We invite you to submit a 1-page (350 words) abstract for the ” Science of Dance” section, following the instructions at the conference website. Please select the type of presentation that is relevant to your proposal. Abstracts should be submitted no later than 28 February 2019 : [email protected]
